A Live-Action Fading Suns Event

It is the year 5001. As the sixth millennium dawns the skies are darkening, for the suns themselves are growing dim. Humans reached the stars long ago, building a Republic of high technology and universal emancipation — and then squandered it, fought over it, and finally lost it. A new Dark Age has descended on humanity, for the greatest of civilizations has fallen and even the stars die. Now, feudal lords rule the Known Worlds, vying for power with fanatic priests and scheming guilds.

And on the planet Criticorum, Count Ruza Ishakar al-Malik has been murdered. 

Count Ruza’s death threatens the fragile equilibrium among the noble factions on Criticorum, where the Planetary Governor is despised by those seeking Home Rule.  Guild leaders who relied on the Count’s good graces (and trade agreements) find themselves no longer in control of their squabbling constituents.  And rumors have arisen about Count Ruza’s death: his strange behavior, secret meetings with high-ranking Scravers, and whispers of a murderer all in black, outlined with a strange, green glow.  The rumors have caught the ears of the Holy Church, and her investigators are sure to follow…
